History

Research Center for Bioresources and Biotechnology was established in 2005 as a merged of two Inter University Centers, namely IUC for Life Sciences and IUC for Biotechnology.  Both IUCs were formed in 1985 by the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education with the loan from the World Bank.

The establishing of RCBio was to provide the facilities for graduate education and training in life sciences and biotechnology.
